Vitamin C

Vitamin C is an antioxidant that ensures your resistance is kept at optimal levels, forms and nourishes connective tissue, improves iron absorption and ensures healthy bones, teeth and blood vessels. It prevents scurvy and diseases caused by viruses. Our body cannot produce vitamin C itself. Therefore, it is important to get enough of it from food and skin care.

The Skin

Vitamin C: good for health, but also essential for the skin. It is a rich source of antioxidants and optimally protects the skin. It protects the skin from ageing and harmful invaders. Vitamin C also stimulates collagen production (connective tissue) and brightens pigmentation spots. For acne, vitamin C also provides relief, preventing blemishes. Vitamin C also improves the absorption of other minerals and vitamins into the skin.

Importantly, vitamin C should be encapsulated. It is extremely sensitive to oxygen and it is a shame if you open the jar of cream and all the vitamin C is gone after the first use (oxidation). Nutrition

You need to get vitamin C from your diet. Most vitamin C can be found in peppers and not in oranges as many people think. Broccoli, chicory, Brussels sprouts, kiwis and strawberries are also rich sources of vitamin C. So eat mainly citrus fruits, brassicas and green vegetables.


Make sure you choose organic fruits and vegetables, these have not been sprayed with harmful toxins and are richest in vitamins and minerals.


Supplements

Because fruit is often picked unripe and vitamin C is formed only in the final stage of ripening, it is very difficult to get these vitamins completely through food. Therefore, it is also advisable to take vitamin C in supplement form.
